Women's Trousers

ThruDark's women's technical trousers are built for hiking, mountaineering and extended time on rough terrain, with the fabric, fit and hardware matched to the conditions. The Charge Trousers cover hiking, mountaineering and daily utility wear, with cargo storage and reinforced knees. The Oryon Trousers are cut for lightweight summer hiking and mountaineering, with UPF 50+ sun protection and quick-drying DarkMatr™ fabric for warm climates and extended days in the field.

ThruDark’s women’s trousers are breathable, just to different degrees, matched to different conditions rather than one being a "warm" trouser and the other a "cool" one. The Charge Trousers use a heavier, DWR-coated cotton ripstop construction suited to colder, rougher conditions, with breathability lower than the Oryon's. The Oryon Trousers use lightweight, quick-drying DarkMatr™ fabric with UPF 50+ sun protection, built for higher breathability on warm-weather routes.

The Charge Trousers use a DWR (durable water repellent) coating on the Utexbel cotton ripstop for water and wind resistance, which sheds light rain and wind rather than guaranteeing full waterproofing. The Oryon Trousers are designed for warm, dry conditions and quick-drying performance rather than wet-weather protection. For sustained rain, pair either trouser with a dedicated waterproof shell.

ThruDark’s Charge Trousers are military-inspired cargo trousers built for rough terrain and daily utility wear. Reinforcement includes Dyneema® at the knees, stronger than steel, and Cordura® at the ankles and lower legs for abrasion resistance. The Oryon Trousers, use graphene-enhanced DarkMatr™ fabric for lighter, high-mobility wear. Both carry ThruDark's 5 Year Overwatch Warranty.

Yes. ThruDark’s Charge Trousers carry six pockets: two large bellow cargo pockets, two hand pockets and two hip pockets with internal sleeves, plus a stretch back panel instead of back pockets for comfort under a rucksack. The Oryon Trousers have two hip pockets, two rear pockets (the right with a key-hook attachment) and a zipped thigh pocket on the right leg that sits flush for a snag-free profile.

Mobility depends on fit and construction. The Charge Trousers are a regular fit with a four-way stretch panel built into the crotch and rear only, giving range of movement for kneeling and stepping without a full stretch cut. The Oryon Trousers take a loose fit with fully articulated seams shaped to the body for climbing, hiking and high-range-of-motion work without fabric bunching.
